Outfit Idea (what I wore March 16, 2017)
In Boston, the intersection between the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring is the most awkward time of year for fashionistas, because it leaves us stuck in this sort of ‘style limbo’ between wanting to dress in breezy skirts and flowing tops, but not packing away our blanket scarves and Bean boots just yet due to temps that are still fluctuating between 70 and 23 degrees on any given day. To deal with this awkward ‘state of style’, one thing I do to get my fix for spring fashion (while not freezing my butt off) is winterize my summer dresses by layering them over (or under) a collar or pullover sweater. Going preppy is another way that works when trying to style during this awkward time of year, which I did today by layering a black crew neck cardigan sweater over a leopard print collar shirt, which I paired with a chunky pearl statement necklace, black opaque tights, a black and gold belt, and a pair of beige high-heel boots! As always, for more (shoe-string) chic, city-wearable fashions, be sure to follow daily “Style Snaps” of my personal outfits in everyday life at “Bostonian Styled (by Katey)” on WordPress and Pinterest!
