My Mom Gets ‘Bostonian Styled‘

After finally graduating with her nurse practitioner degree and passing her licensing exam, my mom recently started on the job hunt – and needed to look her best for all those interviews! So two weeks ago, we went on a little shopping spree together at Macy’s and Charming Charlie’s and created a look guaranteed to land her the job by pairing a striped black, beige, white, and red sheath dress (Calvin Klein, purchased on sale at Macy’s for $70) with a red blazer with black and gold details (Calvin Klein, purchased on clearance at Macy’s for $40), and accessorizing with a matching gold and red statement necklace (Charming Charlie’s, $18) and a black and cream color-blocked handbag (Charming Charlie’s, $38). Not only did my mom nail her interview in this look (and as of last week, accepted a job offer), she also got a ton of compliments, including one from the manager who was interviewing her! As always, for more (shoe-string) chic, city-wearable fashions, be sure to follow daily “Style Snaps” of my personal outfits in everyday life at “Bostonian Styled (by Katey)” on WordPress and Pinterest!
