Outfit Idea (what I wore August 17, 2017)
So, despite all of my attempts at dating since relocating down to Boston 2 years ago, I’m still single. Very, very, very single. And after dating through a total of 21 guys in 2016 (don’t worry, that’s counting a lot of terrible first dates too), I started off 2017 with the resolution to give up on dating for a while. And I did, until my mom did something super embarrassing for me in March: she created a dating profile for me on eHarmony (I know, the lamest of all the lame dating sites), and actually started matching with guys that she thought I’d be interested in. When she called to tell me about what she had been doing, I was SO opposed to even looking at these guys, but when I went home for the weekend, I finally caved into her nagging, and looked at my matches. Amongst my matches, there were def a lot of hard “NO’s”, but, there was this one gorgeous red-headed guy from Arkansas (so random, I know) who instantly caught my attention and made me say “That One”. Long story short, over the course of almost 6 months, we: matched; started talking; had our first date (it was in NYC, and was def the best date of my life); talked more; had our second date in Boston; continued to talk everyday; and then, unfortunately, ended things last week. I’ve been pretty sad about it, but a sure fire thing that I’ve always found to help me when I have a broken heart are some new shoes…unfortunately though, with all of my student debt, I can’t exactly afford
to break the piggy bank by going on a shoe shopping-bender. So, what’s a financially and heart-broken Bostonista to do? Go to Primark, of course, which has so many shoes at amazing prices, like these red suede pointed-toe heels that I bought there for just $11, and wore today by pairing with a red, sleeveless chambray collar shirt, a pair of blue, white, and black striped statement pants, a black and gold braided metal statement necklace, and a black, gold, and cream bubble statement bracelet!
