Although Boston is a really chic city to live in, it definitely isn’t a (shoe-string) chic one, and its high cost-of-living can make trying to come up with a new outfit everyday kind of difficult. So, how do I deal with trying to dress like a chic city-girl while living on the salary of a broke research assistant? Well, I use my Style Book app and I get creative! One great part of this app is its “Style Stats” feature, which allows you to see articles of clothing that you’ve never used in an outfit before, like this Satin Lavender Blouse that has been sitting untouched in my closet for years! By using the apps cool “Cloning” feature, I copied the look I wore on December 8th, and swapped out the black v-neck I wore that day with this lavender top to create a new look with a “Springier” feel! After I graduated with my MA in Psychology from B.U., I was lucky enough to score a position as a research assistant for a health and wellness study being conducted by Dartmouth College, which is investigating the use of Telehealth (a technologically based behavioral health intervention) in populations with severe mental illness. Recently, the integrated use of technology like Telehealth in the provision health care has sparked a lot of interest, especially at the State Level, and after catching word of its implementation in the research study that I’ve been working for over the past 8 months, our program was asked to present our work to Marylou Sudders – the Secretary of Health and Human Services for the State of Massachusetts! To look on-point for this awesome opportunity to present to Secretary Sudders today, I created a chic and professional look by pairing a white collar shirt with a black and gold pattern pencil skirt, a black blazer, a chunky gold metal statement necklace, and a pair of black and gold pointed toe heels!
